The Affiliate Challenge

I’m entering a competition! It’s called the Affiliate Challenge and involves building an affiliate site from scratch to make money. Whoever makes the most profit after 6 months wins! You can read all about it here and here.

I’m completely undecided as to what sort of site I should create but should really start building it soon. As it’s a 6 month project from start to finish, serious SEO isn’t really going to be an option so CPC will play a big part of it, I need to get some seriously targeted visitors in order to convert will in such a short period. I’d like to pick an industry that lets me try a lot of different techniques – particularly those I’ve never really tried before, I think that’d be really interesting. Obviously I’ll be blogging my exploits from start to finish right here, in fact I’m even starting a category just for this competition so watch this space!
